May CEO Newsletter

Dear YMCA of the Foothills Members and Supporters,

As we welcome the month of May, I hope this message finds you and your families well. After a busy season, I was grateful to spend a few days in Rancho Mirage with my family over spring break. It was much need time to rest, recharge, and reflect. We also enjoyed hosting Easter at our home, bringing together multiple generations of family for a memorable day of connection, celebration, and a spirited Easter egg hunt. The Iuculano Family is in “full swing” with CV Little League and CV United Softball, as Noah and Grey participate in both. It’s a real privilege to coach both of them this season and connect with the local baseball and softball communities we have here in the Foothills.

April was an impactful month for our Y. I’m proud to share that we successfully concluded our Annual Support Campaign, reaching our goal of $175,000. Because of your generosity, we can provide access to membership, youth programs, and essential family services across our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed, your support truly makes a difference.

We also celebrated a fantastic Healthy Kids Day on April 25th, bringing families together around wellness and fun. Looking ahead, summer is already shaping up to be a strong season, with camp registrations trending 11% higher than this time last year.

On a broader scale, I had the privilege of helping lead the inaugural YMCA Advocacy Days in Sacramento as Chairman of the California State Alliance of YMCA’s. It was an inspiring opportunity to unite with fellow leaders and advocate for policies that strengthen our mission statewide.

This month, we transform tradition into purpose—relaunching the Fiesta Days 5K/1M Family Fun Run as the FOOTHILLS STRONG Run, united by community and cause. All proceeds from this event will directly support our Y members and program participants in Altadena who are recovering from the Eaton Fire—an important step in our continued commitment to long-term relief and recovery efforts.

Thank you for being part of our Y community and for your ongoing support of our mission.

Onward and Upward!
