“Celebrate endings – for they precede new beginnings” - Jonathan Lockwood Huie.

Hello, YMCA of the Foothills Family!

I trust this note finds you healthy and happy in this new year. What an excellent quote to allow the things of the past to rest and to now look with excitement to a fresh start. If you celebrated Christmas, Hanukkah, or another Holiday tradition, I pray that it brought you positivity and hope and that you felt loved. I got to spend the holiday with my wife, two kids, and 14 of our extended family members as we hosted our 5th Annual Christmas Day Celebration. Highlights included the kids caring for our newest family member “Ginger,” the Crimson Red Betta, leaving milk, cookies, and carrots out for Santa and the Reindeer, the much-anticipated Secret Santa gift exchange, enjoying Christmas cartoons, and my wife and sister-in-law crafting an amazing dinner. It truly was a heartwarming day.

As the calendar flips to January, you can count on the Y to continue supporting our community wherever, whenever, and however we can. This year's theme is "Community in Action," as we are excited to continue serving our community daily. We strive to be at the center of the community and create a sense of belonging for all people every single day. As we prepare our hearts and minds for 2024, the Y is committed to doing whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to help our community grow and thrive once again—we know we can't do it alone. Thank you for your unwavering support as members, participants, and donors to help us continue providing access to life-changing programs and services to every corner of our service area. Below, you will find all the ways the YMCA of the Foothills is meeting the needs of our members and community in 2024.

Onward and Upward!
