April derives its name from the Latin word aperio, meaning “to open”, which I find timely as we have just officially reopened our Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA to our members! Speaking of reopening, our Facilities Team has been hard at work restoring and replacing multiple facility assets that will improve access and experience for our members, participants and staff upon stepping back inside the building. These facility improvement projects will allow us to launch new and traditional Y programs as soon as we move into the “Yellow Tier”.
