During the month of November, in lieu of our annual Y Prayer Breakfast, we will celebrate our blessings through a video series presentation of prayers and thanksgiving.

PASTORAL STAFF

Rev. Karin Ellis is the pastor of La Cañada United Methodist Church. She has been a pastor for 22 years, serving churches all over Southern California. She is married to Steven, and they have two children, Abby and Paul. In her free time, she enjoys walking, baking, reading, and spending time with family.

Pastor Pete Scott is the Pastor of Chapel of the Hills in Sunland. He graduated from Northwest University in Seattle in 1990 with a degree in Behavioral Science and minor in Pastoral Ministry. He has been involved in a variety of ministries from Youth Ministry to Children's Church and everything in between. The last 23 years he has served with his wife Melody. They have been able to watch their children and the church grow up at the same time. They have two children, Hannah and Nolan. Pastor Pete is a huge sports fan, particularly the Dodgers and Lakers and he enjoys an occasional round of golf.

Rev. Lucinda Guarino Lucinda brings compassion and expertise to all her endeavors. She has a long track record of leadership involvement in business and counseling through innovation, tenacity, and empowerment. Her overarching purpose is to see others empowered mentally and emotionally, and prepared with tools to successfully navigate through life's hurdles, whether in professional development or personal improvement.
Lucinda has a calming presence and has built her career, knowing that compassion, professionalism, and intentionality are vital forces in growth. She provides her expertise in both corporate and personal settings and has extensive experience in leadership within business and counseling arenas. Lucinda's overarching purpose is to mentally and emotionally empower others, and provide the necessary tools for successful development.
Her qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, and she has earned a Master's degree in Marriage Couple and Family Counseling, with a specialization in Trauma and Crisis. She is a Professional Clinical Counselor with a private practice in the Los Angeles area and an accomplished trainer, speaker, and coach. Certified by The John Maxwell Team, she has been recognized by local organizations and government agencies for her work in prevention and intervention in many varied settings.

Father Rob Holman is the senior pastor of St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Montrose and Y Board member. He is committed to proclaiming God’s Word and inviting the work of the Holy Spirit to bring transforming life. A priest in the Anglican Church of North America, he received his MDiv at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge PA and is a graduate of University of Virginia (BS Nuclear Engineering '87 and MBA '91). He and his wife Mana have three children in middle school and high school.
